And with that 2024, comes to an end

The holidays began on December 21st, a Saturday filled with routine chores, cleaning the house and shop, taking care of customers, and taking a little time for schoolwork. A simple day, but it set the tone for the coming Christmas.

The next day, the 22nd, the story changed a bit. We attended the early morning mass for Simbang Gabi, a tradition that unites our family. After that, we went to a birthday party, ate, and took photos in beautiful scenery—a simple pleasure filled with the spirit of celebration.

From the 23rd to the 27th, life returned to a simple pace. Those days were filled with work at the shop and at home. But amidst the routine, I felt the value of simple moments with family.

The 28th, a special day. We attended a wedding and a baptism where I was a groomsman. After the mass, we went to the venue for the reception. After the activities, we returned home to continue our activities.

On the 29th, there was a slight change. We held a Christmas party for our fellow barangay men. It was full of games, food, and prizes, it was a fun event where it brought smiles to everyone. After the party, we went to the Hidden Garden to treat our relatives. We had dinner, walked around, took pictures, and enjoyed every moment.

As the year turned, we prepared for the New Year on the 31st. At eleven thirty at night, we prayed as a family, and at midnight, we began the tradition of loudly welcoming the New Year. After that, we partied until dawn, a perfect end to the simple but colorful celebration of Christmas and New Year.

The holidays may not be full of grand occasions, but the simple memories, fun, and family togetherness gave it real value.
